What is CBD and why do people take it?

Over the past couple of years, the term CBD has become widely known and covered in the media. But for many of us, there is still uncertainty about what is CBD.

CBD is short for cannabidiol, and is a natural, alternative medicine being used to treat a wide variety of ailments. CBD is obtained from either hemp or cannabis sativa (one of many cannabis plants), at NatureCan all our CBD comes from hemp. The hemp plants are processed to extract the CBD oil. When extracted from hemp, the oil contains no THC, which is the part of marijuana that gets you high.

The short answer is… CBD is a safe, legal and effective alternative medicine derived from hemp. It has many of the benefits of medical marijuana without getting you high.
